Reception Graduation

The children in Reception have graduated to move into year 1 after the summer holidays. It was an emotional time for the children and families as they said goodbye to Early Years as they look forward to moving up to Year 1. They sang songs, danced and said thank you to the teachers.

Staff and children celebrated the Royal Wedding by having an afternoon tea party in the playground. We had lots of fun by singing songs and dancing. We wish Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex a happy life together.

Dedham Visit

     Our partner school Dedham in Essex came for a lovely visit to see the children at Elizabeth Selby that they have been sharing letters with. The Dedham children got to meet their partner children and enjoyed showing them around the school.

We had Police horses visiting our school. We asked lots of different questions and some of the children got to pet the horses. How exciting!

Silk Court

The school council have set up a community project for the whole school to take part in. Every Friday a class visits Silk Court and spends their golden time socialising, playing, reading with and singing to the residents of the care home.

The children in year 2 went ice skating and were taught how to move and stop on the ice. Some were more successful than others but they all had fun!
