The government has given an extra INSET day which Elizabeth Selby will be taking to risk assess and carry out cleaning and plan the home learning.  Therefore, school will be open for vulnerable children and children of critical workers on Wednesday 6th January.

All children will be expected to access the learning and a register will be taken. Sessions will be recorded if you are unable to access the live session.

FREE Winter Warmer Festival (Online)

(All years)

We’re very excited to start 2021 with a Winter Warmer Festival of free online activities for everyone to take part in at home. It may be cold outside, but we’re going to get toasty and warm!

Storyteller Amari Harris conjures up two seasonal stories with a sprinkle of magic and an energetic snowball fight. Musician Toby Davies teaches body percussion and helps everyone create the sounds of a frosty winter; before music and drama combine for a festive finale. Plus, Beccy Allen, Half Moon’s Head of Creative Learning, gets crafty and shows us how to make a paper penguin, winter lantern and snowman bookmark.

Families can access all the videos via our website: https://www.halfmoon.org.uk/events/winterwarmerfestivalonline/

We can send you an email to send on to families with all the details of the Winter Warmer Festival if that would be helpful – just let me know.

If you want to book the Virtual Performance Package of Dust, just reply and we will invoice and send the links on 8 Feb (there’s a possibility we can get that to you earlier – we are just finalising the videos right now

Dear Parents

You may have seen the news regarding the return to school. Sadly Tower Hamlets schools will only be able to open to children of critical workers and children who have an EHCP or considered vulnerable until further notice.

If you believe your child falls into one of these categories please contact the school office on Monday between the hours of 9 and 12. The office will not be available after 12pm as they will be doing other admin work to support the school with planning for this change.

A more detailed email will be sent on Monday.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year.

Ann Wood
